Mary-Jo (MJ) Thompson
"Hey there! Just call me MJ. I moved here fifteen years ago and raised my children in Lee County. After medically retiring from the USAF I worked with several non-profits and found my love of helping others. After buying, selling and renovating multiple properties over the years I thought getting my real estate license would be the next step, and I'm so grateful I did! The people I've met and helped through one of the most stressful moments in their lives has been more rewarding than I could've imagined! I look forward to meeting each new client and working to make their needs and wants a reality."
Mary-Jo Thompson served 15 years in the US Air Force as a combat meteorologist. After an airborne jump gone wrong, she was medically retired from the service, having served multiple tours in OIF and OEF and receiving a Bronze Star for her efforts.
Post military career she has worked with several non-profits; tutored at the local elementary school; owns investments properties; renovates properties with her own hands; has written several published dystopian fiction novels; and obtained her Real Estate license!
After several years in the business, she stepped out on her own to build her RE company, Red Glasses Real Estate. Her experience in renovations, working with military VA loan requirements, and her compassion working with Non-Profits gives her the edge to work with Buyers and Sellers in the real estate world providing expert advice for her clients!

At a young age, as a successful dive master in Wilmington NC she developed a great love for helping people achieve their goals and navigate through difficult situations. And that's what she loves about Real Estate!
